Is there a preferred soilder for brazing steel to copper on Trane's scroll compressor or any steel to copper.Never seems to look near as good as the factory job. Thanks PJ

I prefer 15% silver.

Steel to copper, I would go with 45% silver solder, plus the proper flux. Clean the joint good before you flux it.

Might want to try a search...............there has been considerable discussion on this subject. I personally like staysilv 45 .
