4" filter plus EAC?

Does it make sense to have a 4" filter either before or after an electronic air cleaner? Would this negatively affect the air filtration of the eac?

It would negatively effect the efficiency of your blower. Good filtration boils down to the balance of particle removal/and airflow restriction. I would recommend using one or the other but not both,and i'd lean towards the 4" or maybe a 5" media over the EAC in most cases
