What advantages would I gain from having a maint contract.
and what is done in a PMS that makes it worth it ?

I just seen a family that almost died today on the news.
Yep you guessed it no furnace checkup and co poising
Not to mention that there are sources that say you will save money on your utilities

Some furnaces and air conditioners run more miles in 1 year than you'll put on your car in 5 years, look at it that way.

1) Check up of equipment to insure proper operation.
2) Increase The life of equipment...
3) Saving over running equipment that with less effinciency
T.U. ELECTRIC did a study of random homes with maintenance and without.
The average savings is .95per kwh which is about $1.07 per day and in 180 days of opertion in Texas that over 180.00 per season.
Doesn't take a scientist to figure out how to put money back in your pocket.

Contracts are good depending on how they are written. Some service contracts state that they include parts and Pm's and priority care, etc. it all depends on what you agree to. Just make sure you read it over. PM's are a much needed yet well ignored part of HVAC!
