Novice here. I've been asked by people whether all central components are made by the same manufacturer and the company adds their name. I've heard this among installers, but am not sure. How many different major manufacturers produce units.

Many use the same compressors, motors, and contactors.

In the higher end ,there are some differences in features and benefits,type of controls ,etc.

Check them out of mfrs. websites,and ask any questions here.

Warranties ,like 10 years are available on most all brands,some include it standard,don't thing that a longer standard warranty means a better product.


Lot's of changes in the last few years and next year as well.
