Greetings!

Google brought me here.

I have a Rheem gas furnace unit, its about 1.5 years old. Every now and than I get water dropping from Gas Valve (Honeywell Model# VR8205S2395) its intermittent.

I don't know where the water is coming from or what is causing the water dropping. This is a problem because the burners get wet and won't ignite.

Thanks for your input.

Is this a package unit outside where heat and a/c are both in the outdoor unit or is this furnace installed in a garage or attic?

We love to guess. My guess is that it is a LP gas furnace. The gas valve gets cold because there is gas going through it and when conditions are right you will get condensation. Warm moist air hits the gas valve & you get condensation, just like on your windows.

My “guess” is also condensation. It’s a two stories condo, the unit is installed in extra room in kitchen.

I notice when its cold outside Below 10F I get water dropping.
