Howdy, is there a comfortmaker tech in the house. I am trouble shooting a furnace model number CUI075A016AIN Type RPJ II. The Unit works fine in the cooling cycle, However when I call for heat, the furnace combust blower comes on,unit ignits and then shuts down immediately and I get six blinking lights... replaced Tstat and I am sure it is calling for heat. this unit has a general 90 module 50A50-110... aslo in the modle number does the 75 stand for 75,000 btus? I would be greatfully for any info. billy k

Don't worry. Any time now several members will come in here, totally disregard the rules of the forum, and tell you how to fix your problem.

Geez jkelly, calm down. None of what I said even pertained to you, much less was directed towards you. I said, and I quote, "WILL come along." You already posted, so my saying that someone will come along doesn't mean someone who has already posted.
Also, I said, and once again, I shall quote, "tell you how to fix your problem." Once again, as you implied, you didn't say how to fix it. So it's pretty obvious that one wasn't directed at you.
Please, read the posts carefully before you yell at someone over them.

The general 90 board, first generation 50a50 only has 5 code flashes, A code of 6 flashes means "call a more experiaced tech". Hope this helps....Wreck
Flame sensor failure.

I had the same problem with unit with the General 90 model 50A50.
I solved the problem the first time by simply turning the furnace circuit breaker off for a few seconds and turning it back on. Recently the problem recured and I didn't respond to tuning to power on and off. This time I checked all the connections and turned the gas control on and and off and it fired back up. The label doesn't recognize the 6 blinks. I would also check all the connections to the thermostat.

<sigh>
Yes, turning it off and on always helps.
Maybe if you do it enough times the problem will solve itself.

And if that fails
Get the white pages and whack the side of the furnace with it since
it ain't good for anything else
I would not turn it on and off.
I would rub it instead and maybe a genie will fix it.

I just had a call like this today and automaticaly cleaned the flame sensor and burners. Did not chect the t-stat. Only thing is this furnace was a Comfort Maker.
