Hi,

I have an American Standard single stage freedom 90 gas furnace. It has a power vent, allowing me to vent horizontally.

I want to know what size vent pipe is required. It goes about 40 ft, with a 90 degree elbow in it.

There is 2" pipe now, which I found out was too small for my water heater. So, while I'm at it, I want to make sure I have the correct size for the furnace.

Thanks,

Jeff

it would depend on what size furnace it is, as well as length and number of elbows which you mentioned. the installers hopefully knew what they were doing and went by specs.

check out the manual.

good luck

Read the door. Big chart that you can't miss. If it doesn't make sense, call a pro.

you cant tie your water heater into a 90 furnace vent system, time to call a pro.

Jeff:
First of all the term is not Power vented It is Direct Vented.
If you are not Licensed which I suspect, You are playing with fire.
