What a piece of crap. We've got literally hundreds of these installed in various buildings on campus, most on fintube, under metal covers that amplify the dreaded "clacking" noise these things make when they go bad.
The "normal" running noise is bad enough and the failure rate is unbelievable.
Any body else have this problem?

Got news for you, these actuators were recalled
or at least supported years ago,but you would most likely
not get the man. to back you,to old.Had the same situation
and was lucky to get free replacements, with a specified
labor amount.Peachy deal though, they stick open or closed
or make a loud clicking sound.

Thanks for the reply, Old Fitter.
Did the replacement actuators have the same problems or did Seimens finally "cure" the defect?
Also the SQS65.5U actuators are rated for 90# close-off.
I would like to try a different Seimens actuator, the SSC61.5U model.
This model is spring return like the SQS65.5U but the close -off is lower, approx 60#.
Does anyone know how to figure what the close-off requirement should be?
I'd hate to trade one problem for another.....
