Why do they have to be so odd ball.. Seriously...., Everything apparently voids the warranty, they even have a little sign inside cabinet that says if instruction manual is removed warranty void lol. Everything is so tight errr...

Agreed their a lot of fun .........not!

We got one with a programing problem with the freq for the condensor fans. Everytime the site has a power glitch the drive has to be manualy reset. Tried calling the drive manufacturer and was told it had custom programing by Kraus. Called
kraus and left a message and got a return call the next afternoon by a guy from
India who was in Germany and about to call it a day! Still unresolved.

Never worked on them but they look like a big hunk of garbage. My condolences, Chris. :nopity:

The three I've worked on have all been used for one brand of MRI at stationary units. I tend to believe they are tied in with some type on contract agreement but that is only a guess. It seems most of the magnets are cooled by non US manufacturer based equipment. We service around 16 other sites that have a different brand magnets and all the chillers are non US made.

All 6 or 8 of the ones I have worked on are all for a specific brand of MRI and are also used to cool the magnets.

I will give you one guess as to the hospital...

OK I fail.

Don't know anything about the 189 area. Way to far north for me.

But would you know a few folks like Ken, Gary or Ed?

This chiller is used on a hx for a Siemens cold head compressor and the gradient hx also.

I normally see G.E. with Air-Sys chillers but i have seen all kinds including Imaging equipment using chiller plant water as a primary in some and only as a back up on others.

Wait until you have to change the center compressor on it.....without shutting down the entire machine.
