Has anyone seen a 6 term. McQuay comp? I am use to 9 term. Anyways I am putting a new one in and the new one is a 4DRI-3000-FSDR 460vac old one is 240/460vac. what terms do I use and do I need jumpers??

FSD compressors are 460v. part wind compressors only. To wire this for three lead single contactor operation you must use the jumper bars (hopefully) provided and connect terminals 1-7, 2-8 and 3-9.

or split them up for 240 part winding start

Get a copeland electrical book from a supply house it will tell you how to wire it for sure.Make sure you trim the oil charge after you get it running,they use a compressor shop in Georgia to rebuild those and put their name on them and they are usually overcharged w/ oil.

OK great that is what I thought I took the jumpers from the old one. Thank you I didn't want to blow this one up :-)!
