View Full Version : Anyone use Honeywell-Enalasys Diagnostics
01-10-2005, 11:45 AM
Does anyone use the Honeywell-Enalasys duct and system analysis tools? They are suppose to be able to measure airflow through the ducts to verify the duct design as well as other system issues.
I've seen it demonstrated twice at actual homes, quicker than conventional methods ,but the results are the same.
Strange ,this post moved up to today, with a post from hvacbroker, but it's not there??

I got the training for it and used it about 30 times. It is time consuming and takes a lot of room in the truck. Looks good and works well. You have to try it out to see if it's what you like. E-scan Honeywell certifies you to use this equipment but then out of every sale they get some kickback. Look into it. It may be something you want to do. They give a demo and some sort of trial basis while you try it.
It has some potential as a diagnostic tool. Very expensive though. You could purchase 5 sets of professional air balance tools for one set of the Honeywell test equipment.
With the proper test equipment you would have no limitations on the type of equipment you can test, 100 ton, kitchen exhaust, MUA on the air side professional tools allow you test any type of system.
The Honeywell tools do have limitations to them so do your research carefully.
