got a small carrier aquasnap, model# 30RAN022J-E611DT with flow issues. This thing has the onboard pump package and I see the flowswitch is installed on the return line in the pump housing. question is how on earth do you get to this switch?

Paddle or thermal? Yeah it's pretty tight in there you have to kinda disassemble the pump covers.

Just dig in to it. It's not as bad as it looks.

On the 50 ton, take the RH panel off opposite end to the control panel and squeeeeze in there.

wolfdog is right...should take just a few tools
Can you see LED lights on it? I have had issues with the switch that turned out to be a lose wire at the edge connector. The wire just pinches in the connector. Small wire, small pinchers. The wire flops out when you are working anywhere there board.
I also get nusance alarms, from the flow switches, when the unit it shut down for winter, and the OA is below freezing. I assume it is due the same pinch connector getting cold and contacting.
That edge connector is a real weak spot on an other wise good solid unit.

I replaced one a couple of weeks ago. It is just a McDonnell & Miller paddle switch.
The hardest part was getting my ample self in the hole. Plenty of room once you get there.
Worse comes to worse take a fan blade off and even take a motor out if you have to.....make a hatch to get down thru.

this is one of those electronic types. speaking of fan blades, this machine has monster plastic blades on it

its hard. when they go bad i just cut the wires to it and install a pressure differential switch. paddle switches are out.
