I have a bunch (over 100) of 10 year old Trane Voyager package units that come equipped with these Aluminum "filters" at the fresh air make up/Economizer intake.
I've been washing them when I do my condenser coils (once or twice a year, depending on use), but they are all starting to fall to pieces, money is tight and these things get to be expensive so I was thinking about replacing them with a simple (SS?) mesh to act as a bug-screen, after all I still have my regular 2" 40% filters in place.
Location is Southern California, 2 miles from ocean. Mist/fog is not an issue.
Alternatively if anyone knows of a good source for EZ KLEEN?
