no service valves to pump down,,,How can u tell if comp is weak..
134a
High side=150
Low side=45
S/C 4
S/h 5
Amp draw 10
CAN NOT CLEAR SITE GLASS

Recovered system and changed filter, vacumed, weighed in charge..No matter how much refer I add I cant raise high side....

Question #2

Top evap...flooded
Bottom evap w/ fan
both controled by seperate silinoids....When one silinoid shuts off wouldnt the head raise due to the extra refer.or does it store in the evap. being shut off from the system.....Thanx in advance

Got a pinch off tool? Pinch off that liquid line after the condenser and see if she pumps down.

Amp draw means nothing to me because you didn't list a compressor model # or plate amps.

If its got a solinoid, unhook it and see if it pumps down. Who needs a valve?

Despite the verbal beatings that I take from some on this site, this is a perfect example of when a performance curve saves your a$$.

Take your suction and head readings, plot them on the curve and it will predict an amperage that my experience says is VERY close to actual conditions.

45# suction on a R-134a system is quite high if you ask me.

Unless you're doing AC work, that is....
