problem w/ cornelius ice maker

i am working on a cornelius model 530.The problem is that after the first defrost the machine cuts off.I have read the manual over and over but cant find solution.The controll board has been changed and isnt the same type as in the manual.The machine just cuts off and red light comes on.Any help.

What does the red light mean? Bin full?

What terminates the defrost?

I don't know on this machine, but those are the answers you need.

Probably either a bin full signal or extended harvest fault. Check the curtain switch.

Is it an XWC 530?
Is it showing harvest fail?

Just a low end Iceomatic. There is a pressure switch controling the harvest timer initiation. On a 330 model it should be 36 psi on low side when timer starts then finish ice bridge with timer. It does sound like paddle switch in upper right tagged by water curtain during ice drop. if switch stays open/closed or when unit is full machine stops. Adjustment is made by bending paddle. I think switch opens on curtain movement, which also starts next freeze cycle.
