I am a S.S. or whatever it will evolve into again. I get so damn much good from this site, be it buisness advice, or just plain comradery and entertainment, this is my favorite place on the web. Even on a day off I hope I get called to work so I can check in on you Bozo's and maybe stir the coals. Thanx and I like the new look.

Naw, I live with 2 boys. 1 is 20, the other is 16. They download so damn much free BS off the web [porn,music,games,whatever] with all of it's attached viruses and popups that a home computer becomes useless in a matter of weeks. I got tired of repairing it only to have them quickly ruin it again. I hauled it to the burn pit and it's toast.

That thing would cost me overall about 3-4X what my work one does and only work about ½ the time at ½ speed. Screw it. "But Dad, we NEED it for homework" Bullpucky!

I hate to see a good computer go to waste... I wish I knew someone in your area that I could refer you to that could clean it up and lock it down so they could keep screwing it up!!

I'm lucky my kids are still a little too young to actually down load anything intentionally. Although I did have to lock my screen saver and put it on about a 3 minute time out to keep the 3 year old from going click happy every time I turned my back. ;)

Ask them if they need a computer or the internet for homework. If it is the internet there is free firewall software out there that could help limit what sites they can go to.
