There are certain measurements that we must take in order to determine the proper 'position' of the adjustment stem.

It should be in the txv under a little screw on cover. Not every txv is adjustable though, so be carefull as the cap could just be a plug and come off at great speed if undone (calorex heat pumps being an example).
