This was a simple problem that really happened.
In this kitchen were three receptacles. Two in close vicinity of the sink and
third one further then 6 feet from the sink. Third receptacle , also furthest from the breaker panel, was behind refrigerator and only refrigerator was plugged into it .
All outlets were on the same circuit and jumped one to another. Not long ago someone replaced receptacle closest to breaker panel with GFI. Recently when refrigerator door was opened it tripped GFI and all receptacles were out. When extension cord was used and refrigerator plugged into an outlet in the other room, refrigerator worked fine. What would be the easiest way to make refrigerator work with original outlet without running new wires?
