Good job.
Customer didn't want a media filter when they used to have EAC?
The old Ruud just was tired out? Or customer just wanted a quiet system?
I see you ran a 8" pipe over to another set of duct.. wasn't it tied up before?

Thanx, Still waiting to see your project.
No they didn't want another EAC, the old one was filthy :( These are one of those people that Don't have time for that :( Hopefully I can still talk them into PM.
This was a pretty big house, and they were having airflow problems, I was happy to see the VS came through.
The old drop was an 18X8 with 4 tons of cooling.
I put in a 10X24 and couldn't tell what the other installation was on that second run until I tore everything out, then I saw they were drawing the joist space with blockers. So i added the 9" round to it.
Runs really nice.

Nice job.
Questions:
No drain trap and the uncapped vent?
Where's the electrical cut-off?
Still no coil box. :(
Gotta love those old humids! :D
Specky work as per usual 2hot... beautiful duct work... and a well deserved 'wobbly pop' when the job was done...
Sure you don't want to come up to Canada... and embelsish a 'cool' team?
I often prompt my apprentices to check out your work... Baldloonies too.... actually, several of these HVAC Guru's. I also pimp them up to listen to all responses too... sometimes negative comments prompt them to look deeper at the whole picture...
Thanks man. good work.

Thanx,
I don't put traps on upflow systems...don't know why...probably never will :D
There's a switch with duplex outlet, just can't see it from the shots.
I didn't think a cased coil would fit until i tore everything out :(
At least i put an accessible coil panel in for ya when you service this baby :D

Thanx brutha, "wobbly pops" were in effect...after 9 :D
Canada is wayyy tooo cold for me, heck, I don't care for the weather here when it gets below 30, thanx for the offer though.
I'll try to keep posting my work. I could do this everyday, but it would get pretty boring seeing typical furnace installs.:)

Cased coil sure is easy but with the power hum, could be a problem too. We never trap upflow drains either. Often put the Tee in for easy flushing. You may call it nothing fancy but a nice install none the less. Whose bottle of brew left on the WH? :D
