Something’s wrong, call for service to correct this potentially dangerous condition.

Could be lots of reasons ...the most likely is your make-up water prv is slowly leaking by....overfilling the system then the relief is doing its job.

Too much pressure building up for many possible reasons, bad reducing valve, expansion tank needs bled.

Your relief valve is opening because you are exceeding 35psi in your system. System should run about 20psi. Possible causes would be the water feed { PRV } bad bladder in expansion tank - bladder should have 10psi in it.

You lift the little lever once in awhile?:D
I vote for PRV or expansion tank, too. Or, simply, a bad relief valve, but I'd want to know what the pressure in the system is when it's opening before saying that.
thank you all,for the info.ive watched the pressue go upto 30lbs psi, then relife valve opens, and a little water dribbles out.not all the time though, the water regulator says set between 12-15 lbs.i thought maybe there was something i could do or adjust, but not knowing anything about heat i figured i ask you learned ones, thank you all.

The water regulator has a metal mesh screen strainer in the bottom of it (the big hex headed cap) somtimes some crud keeps it from closing . valve it off remove ,clean the strainer, open the isolation valve to flush out the line and valve, reinstall the screen. try it again. You may have to replace the prv if cleaning it doesn't help.
thanks again guys.im not not gonna screw around with it,i'll call a furnace tech too come out and look at it ,i only do refer work yipppeeeeee, never took interest on the heat side of things, but my refrigerator works good.

Len,
Sounds like a little problem with the PRV. How old is the PRV and how bad is the water in your area? In San Jose I seen PRV begin to scale up in 6 months. I always people to chew the water before swallowing.

this house is only 2yrs old, everything is shiny and new,as for me being a pussy DICE,iam what i {oh never mind}you wouldnt understand,i wouldve came down and fixed your frigerator, without calling you names, damn sheep lover pervert, anyways my boiler tech came over last night and showed me how to adjust the water regulator, seems it was out of wack just a little,in exchange for a window shaker i fixed up,see the barter system does work, now dice what would you do for me,that i can in return do for you?

By the way, those things don't just get out of adjustment. It's possible but I doubt it. It is probably full of crud, change it ya big p.......
OK I'll be nice and since your house is new you probably have an el-cheapo exp tank, may need pumped up, your penile pump will work for that too. May need to replace the tank, but that is rare.
i do not have a penile pump,and as far as getting old,im still 25 and holding,and good looking,and fit as a fiddle,you?

I know a spot in Wyoming where everytime we drive by you can see a Cowboy trying to push a sheep through the fence, and somehow that makes their pants fall down! I could give him the road number........
