this unit will only run if the burner box cover is off or if the intake pipe is disconnected. Anyone ever have this problem?

check the intake and exhaust pipes for the correct diameter and the number of elbows.

Try moving the ignitor an RPH toward the flame.

I had/still have this exact problem. I thought there was a restriction, so I cut the intake pipe apart and sorry to say...no squirrel, bird nest or tennis ball. I went to Lennox late this afternoon and got a pressure switch, will put it on Monday. Then I got to thinking...I forgot to check the pressure switch tubes to see if they had water in them.
Any other ideas? This one is driving me nuts!!!
