Jeez, I hate hacks. Poor customer here bought home from developer who had a supposedly "reputable" company put in 5 ton system...the cheap model with no warranty.
"Reputable" company did a hack install on top of the cheap system. A month ago we had to replace an OD TXV on said system for ungodly price. Now the ID coil has a leak.
System is only 4 years old! Man, how can people sleep at night? It means business for us but I sure feel sorry for the HO in this case. He's a real nice guy whose stuck with junk through no fault of his own except not checking on status of HVAC warranty.
BTW, the "reputable" company has been run out of town but there are still plenty to take their place.
