My Bath has a Whirlpool tub, with a shower head. This the worst idea yet, not sure how it even passed.

Plan one would be to rip everthing out and start over, which I probably wouldn't be able to afford.

Plan two and three would be to keep existing tub, with removal of shower plumbing. New cabinets, counter top, sinks, exhaust fans, lighting fixtures, relocating AC supply, and some electrical. "The Bath needs a lot of these items replaced anyway."

Plan two would be to put a Lasko Neo angle shower unit in and reduce the amount of counter space, it's 10' 6" now. I looked at 38" unit, and a 46" The 38" is tight, 46" is going to be hard to install. Is there anything in between? What are the Clearance requirements for Toilets in Maryland, N.B.C. says 30" from center and 18 " in front.

Plan three would be to move the toilet to the opposite wall, with less counter space taken up. And put a Lasko 48" x 36" shower in. This would involve removing tile, and relocating it. Can I reuse the tile ? I have some replacement tile, but cannot get more tile.

I'm concerned about room in the shower and basic clearances, so I would like to hear inputs on usage of shower sizes mentioned.

I'm not a plumber, and have never been one, but I have heard that the corner showers (triangular) are almost all notorious for repeatedly leaking. My folks had one that would develop a leak about every 3rd or 4th year and would require opening the wall to repair. After the 3rd failure, they tore it out and put in a rectangular stall. Besides, how much counter space does one really need in a bathroom?
