I go back reading some of the old posts and I want to comment. Do others read my comment, or is it a waste of time?

A new post message is sent to all posters that have not unsubscribed from that thread. So atleast some read it.
It is an annoyance when 2 year or older threads are revived though.
In the pro foums. If you do it. And are asking a question. Its viewed differently then in the residential forum.

I love it when old threads are revived, it is so retro. Mikecro, you have our attention now, why not link us to the thread with your question?

it's just sooooooooooo much more thoughtful to start a new post instead
of dredging up an older one

Thank you guys. I'm sure some of the posts I want to comment on might be laughable to you. What is 2 years old (or even longer) is fresh for me.
I guess the way to play it out is to post "new" and see what happens.

Is payson still around?

I guess if your learning something, then necrothreading is ok.

Necro threading. Who'd of thunk that was a word. Very good and on topic.
I haven't been to this forum in a while and there's a lot of great stuff to read and discuss. A lot of sharp guys it seems to me. And, forgive me for this, but a few that seem a little too full of themselves too.
But all in all, what a great resource. I love this forum.
BTW, I saw a number of avatars with the Canadian flag at half mast. Is that out of respect for the person who just died?
And when one changes one's avatar, does the forum automatically go back and change the avatar for that person's previous posts?
