What a weak argument, Bush fumbled around and showed ineptness and general lack of intelligence and all you can find is Kerry cheated. Heck if Bush new how to take notes he would not have been able to read them.

Let's see...while all Kerry has to do is remember the catsup recipe Bush is trying to run an entire country...
Can't wait til November when Bush is re-elected so we don't have to listen to all this dribble...

Oh don't worry,

they are already setting up another "Bush was SELECTED" campaign.

For all but a small percentage of the population, the election is decided. The debates will swing some one way or the other. Former President Jimmy Carter is already out there laying the groundwork for the next contest for the election results. They know what is coming.

If that was the best that Kerry could bring, then bring it on.

I choose America first and last, anything in the middle is not important.

John Kerry would only defend America if the defense "passes the global test". (His words not mine) So if "the globe" doesn't agree, we are not defended?

Yah! Kerry, what an "American"!!!!!!!!

Now, I am just an outsider looking in, but if Bush had taken the day off like Kerry to rest and prepare for the debate, he would have been in better form. Well, he didn't, he spent the day surveying the hurricane damage and checking on the residents affected. I applaud him for that. I guess Kerry felt no obligation, after all he isn't President yet, and that makes me wonder what kind of leader he would be.

Desperately lashing out?
Feeling threatened?
Kerry has only a campaign to run.
He should be trying to pick up favor with voters anywhere he can, after all, that is how he'll get elected.
He should be kissing more babies and shaking more hands.

It is easy to appreciate that the President is on a tighter schedule, with more responsibility, than his opponents.

Bush's took notes thoughout the debate, though it didn't aid him anyway. How embarrassing it was to watch our fearless leader squim, grimace and stumble his way through the debate.
Looked like every inch of the CHICKEN-hawk he is.

Kerry looked like he was landing airplanes and repeating campaign commercials. Anyone impressed with his performance would be impressed by Sponge Bob.

Taking notes was not against the rules.

yeah bush blew it,

he fumbled and stumbled and grimaced and stuttered,

he did what he always does, screw up... so what is the news.

he was finally somewhere where everybody talking to him wasn't screened like they do on his election tour.he forgot what its like not to have everybody kiss his ass.

which is very typical of the republican hoy-poloy.

they only like and win things that are rigged.

so what is up with the "screening" of people at the bush/cheney rallies.they only let in people that profess to like the president.

at least the democrats have a backbone and can let the republican hecklers into their rallies.

the republicans are the "girlie men" of politics.

and for historical reference the most aggregious case of debate scandal lately was "debategate";

in the debates in 1980,between carter and reagan,

where bill casey had stolen a copy of the 274 page briefing that carter was given to prepare for the debates.

reagan was an actor, and he acted the part of having all the answers. well, he did have all the answers. so by debate time he knew what facts carter was going to use and was ready with data of his own to refute carter, thus looking knowledgable.and steering off the critisism of "hey this guy is an actor, what does he know?"

too bad he let that bush in and ruin his reputation.after all most of the scandals of his presidency were related to bush, the elder and co.

Try forming a paragraph of cognitive thought because you criticizing someone else's communicating skills is like Steven Hawkins criticizing Tiger Woods swing.

That is absolute rubbish, Kerry won only on style.
In the mean time he spewed out incorrect facts, incorrect locations, and incorrect figures.
Any, somewhat intelligent human, should have seen past Kerrys flair and down to his core, which is riddled with inconsistency.
A debate does not a president make. Bush is still the better man for the job in the times we live.

You shrubites with rose colored glasses are pathetic. Just watch Bush's Papa in his debates. Like father like son. Bush got what he wanted-a lifetime pension- and he's ready to give it up. He is not really that supid, why work eight when four will do the trick.

I'd rather have "the guy at the elementary school, wearin' khaki and pushin' the broom down the hallway" than a self-serving, womanizing, sugar momma seeking, traitorous, unbalanced, wishy-washy, undecided, rich-because-of-someone-else, sniveling skank from MA.

bush blew it because he failed to make the "minimum", which is all that is required to keep you from losing points in public opinion.

I'm not saying kerry was stellar, by any means.he (kerry)was not exeptional in any way,but he did meet the "minimum".that is all you need for the debate to not actually "hurt" you.

this is what happened to bush.he was "hurt", in polls and public opinion.

and I'm not saying it did anything to change my opinion, I already thought bush was a stellar example of mediocrity.

he stuttered.and quipped with standard "buzzwords" and "catchphrases", that are used over and over again on the standard republican echochambers.
he was corrected on stage, and allowed his words to be used as a foil to official facts. like when he was corrected as to who had attacked us on 9-11,osama: and who we attacked, saddam.for him to be forced to say," I,..I know who,..I know it was osama bin laden...... you think I don't know that.....

that was a burn.

but what do you guys think , saying all this stuff about the debate,

only to have don rumsfeld( speaking before the council of foreign relations in new york) say that he never saw any good or convincing intelligence that showed any connection whatso ever between saddam and osama/al queada, yesterday.
maybe they don't let you guys hear that on your right wing venues?
and that only has to do with the debate because not only did kerry "out" bush,on the mistaken connection bush seems to have on whether this war in iraq had anything to do with the war on terror, that was /is still happening in afghanistan.but don rumsfeld unequivocably said yesterday that he,the secretary of defense ,has never seen any evidence of saddam being tied to al-queada.

that thing about bush"outsourcing" the job of catching osama at torah borah, was pretty good on kerry's part too.that really did show the commands(bush's by default),negligence on catching the guy everybody wants more than saddam, in this country anyway.

in the court of mass consumption, kerry won, bush lost.....rightly or wrongly...... that is how history is gonna see it...

bobby7388
10-05-2004, 10:27 PM
Yea!! but ironicly with all the hype on how Kerry has done during his debate his poll numbers are not so glourious.

Secondly, the whole 9/11 and Saddam link that liberals are still harping on has never, never, never been a platform for Bush. You guys need to know how to draw a distinction between the war on terror and 9/11, please turn the page once in a while. 9/11 was the catalyst.
