Machine works fine for 2 cycles of ice, then shuts down completley, im familiar with the refrigeration components, but unaware of the workings of the actual ice making components, any incite would be helpful

Check bin switch.

:ditto: Also check magnet on door curtain. Sometimes they loosen out of the door.

If the magnet is gone it wouldn't have started in the first place.
Dj FWIW the water curtain has to stay no to cycle right even though the ice is dropping ;)

Never said the magnet was gone. I said that sometimes they "loosen" up from certain styles of these doors. When this happens I have seen them stick to the switch once and the next time stay on the door.

We had a problem with a dirty evap. and the unit would drop a couple of batches and stop. Turns out the ice would freeze and not drop off the top of the evap. and hold the door curtin open. Just a thought.

That is awesome.
I can't wait to find that one.
How often have you seen that?

Twice on IB series curtains. I'm know not all are made like they are and I believe they changed that design since. I just glued 'em back in. I have never worked on the model the OP is dealing with so I just threw that out there as a possibility.
