can someone tell me if a model CHRVT4821A-CAAAA INDOOR UPFLOW COIL IS AN R22 OR A R410A COIL, THERE WAS NO STICKER OR BRAND NAME SO I DON'T KNOW THE MFG, THANKS,,, GABE

Usually on the sticker that has the M# it tells you if its R22 or R410A.

If its a fairly new unit I would suspect that the M# is wrong.

I think thats going to be a Carrier CNPVP4821

4 ton 21" wide coil but its only a huge guess.

But I think its R410A if the piston is a .70.

If the R is in the right area of that model number, that coil has a r-22 txv factory installed..

Why do you need to know?

If it ends in ACA then it is a copper coil, replace the coil, it will leak, make sure the new evaporator ends in ATA(plated coil) or is an alluminum coil..
