I'm in the process or having my HVAC system replaced, including my ductwork. The workers started putting the new air handler in but the part that has all the little fins on the coil is sitting in a spare room until the workers return tomorrow. I looked at it and noticed that there are a few spots where the fins are kind of mashed. It looks like the guys accidentally bumped it in 4 or 5 places (each spot only about the size of a ping pong ball),and I don't know if I should complain about it or if it is no big deal and I don't want to get the workers in trouble. I paid alot for this Trane but I don't want to make a big deal out of it if it is something that won't affect the system. I could probably straighten them out for the most part, as none seem to be torn, but maybe I should ask the workers to try to fix it. Is it much ado about nothing? What do you guys think?

If the damage is only slight like you describe, a few mins with a fin comb (which your installers should have on them) should straighten it out.

It happens. Not a huge deal. I carry a tool to straighten them out. But that's me.
In your case dont be afraid to point it out to the installer and ask if they will straighten them out before finishing the install.
