We have one of two machines that faults on 2 beep alarm about once a month for the last 4 months. Several techs have looked at it including myself. I got called to it Friday evening. While watching a harvest cycle, the LED's changed from 1,4,&2 to just 2 during the harvest cycle. Is this normal operation? Is this signaling the end of thermisor control and the start of the defrost timer?

one of the biggest problems I have with Hozis is the little rubber cap that is on the float we have really bad water here either the float gets limed up or the nasty water really eats the caps kina puckers them upward the the float won't work properly . 2 beep alarm is a too long a freeze cycle is'nt it?

Well you either have a Thermistor issue or a head pressure issue , the unit is not generating enough heat for the thermistor to terminate, defrost or its bad. Its the once a month thing that has me puzzled.

Hoshizaki KM models need enough water to harvest. I had one that would supply enough water to make ice but would take a long time to harvest because of water pressure from the city. There was nothing I could do to solve the water pressure issue so I had to extend the harvest cycle.

I had a KM800 the other day doing this, turns out another company sent a tech out with water valve that was for a smaller machine. I only noticed it after I had pulled most of my hair out, as for the intermittent,I would investigate water being **** off maybe

After talking to Tech support, I think theres a glich in the board. I'm goning to replace it along with the thermistor.

A Hoshi that has had high head, or high evap defrost temps, have been known to have the evap separate, your might want to check this just to cya.
