I was just wondering what you guys do with the old AC filters when throwing them away. Do you put them in a bag so the dust doesn't come off or not? I just wondered since I've seen some pretty full filters in some of the pics :)

My favorite thing to do is change a completely loaded filter in a unit that's running, and when you pull it out you scrape off 1" of dust and sent it air born.
Generally when I'm doing filter changes inside a building I have my cart with a couple of box's of filters with me, so I just put the dirty filter in the box and move onto the next one.

If it's just one in a home, I fold it in half and carry it out.

Multiple filters go back into the box where the new ones came from, single filters and dirty boxed filters go to the dumpster on site. Never like to have dirty filters in the work van...

Peel off a piece of the dust blanket, roll it up in a ball and tell the lady of the house it's a mouse.
