My contractor teared up all the efficiency labels (the yellow ones) for the furnace and the AC. In his proposal he agreed on a 15 SEER but I see one yellow efficiency label inside the compressor that (I guess it fell there and they could not take it out) says 14.
I have the serial numbers etc from the plates on the equipment, although I do not see one for the furnace. Where can I find this information?

Furnace #'s usually located in the burner compartment you will have to take the access panel off.
Get the indoor coil #'s while you are at it. All components combined will give you the actual efficiency rating.

Yes, please post all #'s. Even though the yellow sticker says 14 seer, you can get 15 seer out of it with specific coil/furnace, which we do all the time.

like stated with the right match up units with yellow stickers saying 14 can produce above 15 seer. get the model numbers of the furnace, evaporator coil, and outside unit and go to AHRI website you will find the actual SEER rating for your match up
