in the process of doin a reno 38 doors, and a new store, 94 doors

Evap motors crapping out (high eff 5611's)
call Hussmann to ***** - seems they have a recall on the motors, and *forgot* to tell anyone
the motors dont work in frozen cases, , now i have 94 efm's to change saturday - fun stuff
and 38 to change next week

Too funny!!!! We have 2 new stores going up. Tuesday I'm confirming controls and all that stuff and I see motors dropping out all around me. Thought the saw guys were cutting my conduits again, but the saw is off. I could not believe that all the motors in whole cases are bad.

Called Hussman, told them the date codes, and now we got motors for 134 doors plus med temp cases, and grand opening next week. A little more in the other. All construction guys are coming in Saturday to swap them out. Not me though.

Don't cut the plugs or they won't warranty them.

Never met a "high efficiency" case motor I liked. If I was an end user I would opt for the good old R5611. I'm sure any savings are easily erased by the high replacement cost and seemingly shorter life span of these motors. Good business for us though as long as you can obtain them easily and the fan blades are not some wierd 6-1/2" or similar style.
