if burkett admitted to being the source of the fake documents, yet he claims somebody gave those papers to him then why has no one taken legal action to get to the bottom of this mess, i'm sure theres a judge out there that could find the time and and an order for him to reveal his source, this has to be resolved and done in an expedious manner, if anybody is connected to the kerry team it has to be proven or disproven or is this another covert operation.

C-BS is in this deep! Very deep. Look for Rather to be leaving. He cost them millions. This story is no where near over.

If I ever get up the will to watch the news again, it definitely will not be C-BS (that's funny!). As it stands right now I refuse to watch any news.
BTW, I agree. I hope Dan Rather loses his job & has to go on the dole.

still something has to be done to force the hand or the future of news reporting will forever be tarnished, its no longer to tell the truth but rather draw the viewers wheather the news is be real or fabricated, the fcc must step in and at a mininmum slap cbs with one hefty fine and reveal the ulterior motive that led to this fabrication.

Sorta' makes you wonder how many lines of BS we have been fed in the days before the internet! Had it not been for the internet, Rather and C-BS would have gotten away with this criminal attempt to affect the outcome of a Federal election. This is far from being over, though I'm sure they would like to wish it away.
There are some interesting elements here that will have to be investigated such as, "Why would a producer for a news agency contact a Kerry official to put him in contact with Mr. Burkett?" "Why did Joe Lockhart contact this man, and what did they discuss?" "Was there colusion between C-BS and the DNC regarding the release of the forged documents and the airing of the "Fortunate Son" ad?"
Wait and watch. Pandora's box has been opened.

the other networks are calling for heads to roll so strike up the drums as Rather will be marched to the doors and stripped of his mike and pad of paper.

looks like segment producer Mary Mapes is the scapegoat (just a figure of speech, Dice...stay calm) and I bet Rather gets a pass.
I would just imagine Rather said from time to time, "I just have to get something on Bush...anything." And Mapes, trying to please her boss, get a feather in her cap, pushed this story. Now he's stabbing her in the back.
Rather knew better than to go ahead with it. He was warned by all that the story was likely bogus but he was adamant in sticking to it. That was manifest stupidity.

Just thought you'd like to see your post with a few name changes.
looks like CIA Director George Tenet is the scapegoat (just a figure of speach, Dice...stay calm) and I bet Bush gets a pass.
I would just imagine Bush said from time to time, "I just have to get something on Saddam...anything." And Tenet, trying to please his boss, get a feather in his cap, pushed this intelligence. Now he's stabbing him in the back.
Bush knew better than to go ahead with it. He was warned by all that the intelligence was bogus but he was adamant in sticking to it. That was manifest stupidity.
Bush and Co. What a stupid mess!

Everything you post lacks truth. Why do you even try? The only people who can't see through you are libs.
BTW, I predict W by a landslide. The net is bringing the light of day to a ton of people and your libs are on the way out.

Just trying to convince themselves there right, because they have no other info to prove it, so they make it up!!
I heard Kerry's speech this morning on the radio about how he is going to fight terror, and how he is going to do this or that!! He sounded like the idiot he is!! What a moron!!
I can't believe he made it this far What were the Demlibs thinking?? OH YA they don't!! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/ruinkai/yelcutelaughA.gif
