Hi everyone,

I'm putting a ventilation fan into my tool room to do some homebrewing of beer. It's all electric. The vent is to remove moisture.

I bought a 8" active air inline fan. I'm trying to attach an 8" 90 degree elbow and an 8-10 inch increaser on one end. This will be over my brew kettle. The fan is ceramic coated and I'm having some trouble attaching the 90 and increaser. I've used duct tape and foil tape, but both won't hold. I need to support the venting from above, I suppose. But I'm wondering how I should be attaching this rigid duct to the fan intake.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd recommend consulting or hiring a sheet metal shop. A pro sheet metal mechanic can solve your problem I'm sure. Site rules here prevent DIY counseling. Sorry.

Didn't realize those were the rules. Sorry.
