What is this guy trying to do? Is he deliberately throwing the election. Only an idiot could vote for such a putz;
Saturday, September 18, 2004
BOSTON - Democratic presidential challenger John Kerry said President Bush has a secret plan to call up more National Guard and Reserve troops immediately after the election, an allegation that the Bush campaign called "false and ridiculous."
Kerry issued the charge while campaigning Friday in Albuquerque, N.M., as he criticized the president of glossing over a worsening conflict in Iraq.
"He won't tell us what congressional leaders are now saying, that this administration is planning yet another substantial call-up of reservists and Guard units immediately after the election," Kerry said. "Hide it from people through the election, then make the move."
Republicans said Kerry was making a baseless charge to cover up his inconsistent positions on Iraq. "Desperate candidates are generally not the most accurate sources of information on these issues," said New Mexico Sen. Pete Domenici, adding that the Senate defense spending committee that he serves on hasn't been notified of any such plans.
I'm starting to believe that the world is run by a small group of powerful men who manipulate the elections and wars of countries.
Why does Kerry keep coming up with these totally heresay remarks? If it isn't a fact, why would a candidate make such an accusation? This stuff is just too easy to discredit and impossible to prove.

Yeah. Klown has pretty much narrowed the field to one candidate. Good job K-man...weakening the democratic process.

I hate to admit it because it sounds like paranoid drivel, but ever since Clinton ...the supposed liberal God and the keeper of the democratic torch, the supposed protector of the downtrodden blue collar, union people ..pushed NAFTA through....It does make you wonder if it's all just smoke and mirrors and there is really no basic difference in which party is elected into office ...the agenda continues on.

yes the agenda does keep going on, it only gets swayed in one drection or the other, the pedulum theory. But we must keep on , none the less. ITs discouraging at times, and every civilization has had to do the same thing. If we stop caring about what is going on then we will be in a terrible spot. this may be where the extreme right and the extreme left through thier individual rehtorics shed light on intolerable actions by our government. And then maybe we go too far in the other direction. This is quite a balancing act we have had and the consquences o four failure, could be heard around the world.

about the war, either we are in the calm before the storm or the storm before the calm, but things are not looking good at this point. The anti groups in iraq have now had enough time to get really organized and get plenty of money and weapons from out side the country. There may have been no other route that we could have taken, but we are getting very bogged down there, if more troops are neede the national guard would be the place that they would come from along with troops from germany and south korea, which has already been discussed. Whether or not its before or after the election, makes no difference. We are going to be forced into making a desicion about troop deployment very soon. The death toll will become a driving issue, election or not in the very near future.

I am curious...
I agree Kerry is a bafoon, I try to have an open mind but he does the big time flip flop and I dont know where he is coming from...
Anyhow back to the curious part...do you think Bush is a good president or is it just a vote against Kerry?

W has proven himself to be a leader. He is not afraid of what people outside the U.S. think. He has the interests of the U.S. as priority #1, just as he should. If we can help other nations as we look after our own, well and good. But as far as France, Spain, Germany...well, they can and have made their own beds.

I like Bush for having the gazongas to take on the issue of terrorism. IMO More power should be given unto him to wage war. As commander-in-chief he alone should have the final say on military matters.

You guys are serious? With all due respect, I don’t know how you figure?
Now all you Bush lovers don’t go getting your panties in a twist, I am just thinking out loud here…help me to understand.
Let’s see, Bush has bankrupted more than one company and now the United States has the largest deficit in the history of the country…that’s a little scary. Other country’s have went bankrupt, don’t think it cant happen here.
How is this war in Iraq a good thing? I am not seeing it. 250 Billion and climbing, maybe it’s just me but I can think of a lot of places here in the good old US of A that could use that money. I don’t think he has the American people as top priority, seems to me he is more concerned about the people of Iraq.
Not to mention there are no weapons of mass destruction. Almost like he had an agenda in place, just looking for a reason to sell it. Nothing like being lied to. Funny how that is just brushed off. “There are no weapons, sorry about that…but we had to attack them anyhow cause God told me it was the right thing to do”
How many people do you know that kill people because “God told them to” and you think they are sane? I think if God is talking to you and telling you to go and kill other people…you might be insane.
Oh, we are there for the oil anyhow right? Must be working, I only paid 1.99 a gallon yesterday for gas.
What about the Millions squandered away that was promised to underprivileged schools for computers? They don’t even know where the money went? Schools sure could use some of that 250 billion being spent in Iraq.
We are safer at home with W as commander and chief? I don’t know are we? Sure we haven’t been attacked since 9-11…but don’t forget we didn’t have anybody attacking us until W was in office. Is it possible we got attacked because the Bush team was a sleep at the wheel?
I keep hearing about Kerry’s voting record and how bad it is. The thing they don’t tell you is, in a side-by-side comparison between Cheney and Kerry, the voting record is just about identical. I just looked at this; as soon as I find it again I will post it if you want to see.
What about the Bush appointed head of the FCC, Colin Powell’s son Michael? He is going to decide for you what you can listen to and watch. Cause God knows you can’t decide for yourself…they will let you know what is good for you.
Nice to think you can survive in the world by yourself, but you really need allies around the world. Most of the world thinks we are **** right now, where is Don? He will tell you, even our friends in the North think we are pricks…I go to Canada, and I hear it first hand.
You know I have been so caught up in trying to figure out Kerry, I almost forgot what an idiot Bush is.
I just don’t think I can vote for mumbles. I just don’t know if I can look at that Alfred E Newman smirk (who me worry?) for another 4 years.

I think the recent polls show that alot of people are begining to see Kerry as a windbag who hasn't a clue or a plan. A Baskin Robbins conviction of the month. Just says what he thinks you want to hear.
Like Rob says ... It's good that Bush has the balls to confront terrorism. What worries most people about Iraq is that we went in there with the naive assumption that we'd be welcomed as liberating the people of Iraq from the monster Saddam Hussein. That probably would have happened after Desert Storm in 91. Now we're in a quagmire.
Bush's advisors (read Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld} have given him lots of faulty advice. I'd feel better voting for him if I knew he would get a new team of advisors with some talent and brains.
Even with my reservations, I'd still have to go with Bush over Kerry. I was on the fence for awhile...but the more I see of Kerry, the less I like.

There is no tie between Iraq and 9-11. I don’t recall Bush saying anything about 9-11 when we went to war.
This is what the Bush camp does; I will say he is a master at miss directing information. He is great at diversion; he can get you focused the other way. He has already done that right? People are already trying to draw ties to Iraq and 9-11 (and there is none) since there were no weapons found. How about staying focused on the fact the Bush attacked a country on a pre-conceived notion, and was wrong. The whole world knew he was wrong, but he was going to show them…good job.
If they had ties then he should have said so, he did not I didn’t see anybody in the world telling us not to go to Afghanistan after 9-11. There are direct ties there and everybody knew it.
You have to wonder about a guy that thinks he is smarter than the whole world combined.

Guess you have to say something since you attacked them. Iraq was singled out; there are many more countries that support terrorism, why not go after all of them?
Good strategy I guess, at least you can get some Americans behind you since terrorism is a subject near and dear to the heart. Forget about the fact Americans agreed to go to Iraq on false pretenses.

Okay, hvac. I believe you do indeed take your voting privilege seriously. Good. Now try to follow me on this.
Psalm 15 says
"O, Lord, who may abide in your family? Who may dwell on Thy holy hill?
"He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.
"He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
"in whose eyes a reprobate is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord.
"He does not put out his money at interest," (and now get this) "nor does he take a bribe against the innocent."
I think it's clear which candidate has integrity, which one speaks truth.
But most importantly, consider this...you go to the polls in November and you got your wallet in your hand touching your temple, thinking, "Kerry PROMISES a better economy, more money in my pocket. Bush has proven he is against abortion by his record. Let me see now...a PROMISE of a fatter wallet or saved babies."
If you choose Kerry's PROMISE of a better paycheck over someone who will do what they can to save babies, you have taken a bribe against the innocent. There is blood on your paycheck and you are an accessory to murder.

What part was that? Seriously, I am not trying to be a prick..I really am following this election close and I am trying to understand.
Awww c'mon....we all like being pricks here :D
Anyway, here is your quote with my commentary in bold;

When did they say that? Was that after they didn’t find any weapons of mass destruction?
Guess you have to say something since you attacked them. Iraq was singled out; there are many more countries that support terrorism, why not go after all of them?
Good strategy I guess, at least you can get some Americans behind you since terrorism is a subject near and dear to the heart. Forget about the fact Americans agreed to go to Iraq on false pretenses.
As has been mentioned, this was part of the President's speech to Congress. It is just not the part that the anti-President libbies dwell on.
Also, the WMD portion of our going into Iraq was believed by literally every government entity in the world "INCLUDING" John Kerry. The information on Iraq continuing to build a nuclear weapon was based on information that was believed by many countries at the time and is still being investigated as to having truth to it
Great diversion…bring up 9-11 instead of the fact they made a mistake. I admit the Bush team are masters at the game…damn they are good, better than Sigfreid and Roy.
Believing intelligence that turns out not to be accurate is not diversion, it is what President Carter did not do to prevent the hostage situation that resulted in Iran.

What I really love is that the first thing Kerry does with supposedly secret(future) troop deployment info is expose it to the public for political gain . Does not seem like commander in chief type decision making.

Even with my reservations, I'd still have to go with Bush over Kerry. I was on the fence for awhile...but the more I see of Kerry, the less I like. [/B][/QUOTE]
See I am in the same boat. The more Kerry talks, the more I dislike him.
You know what I find strange? Where are all the Kerry supporters? If they truly believe in this guy and are passionate about his cause you would think they would be out in droves…I never hear a word. I gave them a pretty good opportunity here don’t you think?
I wish there was some that would speak up and tell me where this guy is coming from. At least the Bush people will speak up and explain their stance.
Say something about Bush and watch his legion of loyal supporters rip you a new A- hole. Say something about Kerry, and there is nothing but silence….
I want to make the right choice and back the right person to preserve the America that I know and love, the same America I want my kids to know.

Good post, Nice to see someone on the board with open factual mind. Robonut thinks whatever Bush says is God's truth even thou it been proven the guy's is a habitual liar.
RoBoNut has said nothing at all about what the President says. I have posted commentary on what Kerry is saying. Try to keep up with the conversation so you don't look so silly :D Your words "an allegation that the Bush campaign called "false and ridiculous." You should read the commentaries that you post or is Kerry speaking for the Bush campaign? It would be an improvement.

I know exactly how you feel. I don't think I'll have that good feeling leaving the voting booth knowing I did the right thing.....We won't know til we see how events unfold in the coming months and years.
I look at Bush and am uneasy that we're not on the correct path.
I look at Kerry and it reminds me of the movie from the eighties "Used Cars" where Kurt Russell when talking to a Hispanic customer, talks in a clipped Mexican accent. If a Black customer walks up "Hey Bro ..What it is" ..So apparently phoney you roll your eyes.
Some choice we have.....Dumb and predictable as opposed to Phoney and unpredictable. I'll have to go with the known. If ever there was an election where the choices came down to the lesser of two evils ...this is it.

The WHOLE world huh? France, germany, and russia do not constitute the whole world.
Those three countries started doing business with saddam and all the resolutions were breaking down.
Have you heard of the oil for food scandel?
If Bush does nothing, then it gets worse for a future president and maybe an involvement by saddam in a terrorist attack against the USA
