Used torch?

any thoughts on buying a used A/O torch.

arent that expensive. Old ones are built brtter. Is it a good one?

around 300 for new set, i just did not know if it was worth my time to look into a used set, what brand would you stay away from?

Is this a brazing torch, or just a regular metal cutting welding torch?

I wouldn't get anything but Smith or Victor since they are still around and parts are easy to come by. Not to mention they are about the best money can buy. I've also noticed it seems the older ones are built much better than the new ones, but even the new ones (long as they aren't the bottom line special) are still very good.

Yeah, buy something that your local welding supply carries tips and handles for.

If you buy some "Fudpucker Torch Co." tool, you might find that the tips and handles have different threads than the ones locally available.
