I have noticed a lot of techs use the UEI DL250. Thats also the one I use.

A tech that was doing my training a while back had bought a UEI and he sold it to someone else and went back to Fluke I learned from them and really like Fluke. Not the cheapest but hey you learn from your teachers if it works for them.

I bought a UEI DL 250 and regreted it. False readings on 3 seperate occasions. I might have gotten a bad meter, but won't buy another.

Not UEI

The Fluke stick meter is good for quick, basic troubleshooting, and only $100.

The fieldpiece meters are the best and most affordable overall though.

Do a search and you'll find that this question comes up a lot.

My self, Feildpiece. The SC-76 a great all in one (is only missing True RMS) and the New HS-36 is even better (it has True RMS readings) and all under two bills.
Check out http://www.fieldpiece.com/ for their home page.

Yuma,

I agree, I have many meters but carry the SC-76 in my small bag.

Has many features, fairly accurate and the price is right.
