We were created by a Holy God to fellowship with Him for eternity. We disobeyed Him and are eternally separated from Him by that sin, according to His righteous law.

But He loves us so much that He sent His only begotten sinless Son, Jesus, to be a sacrificial replacement for us in death as an atonement.

Jesus lived a perfect life, showing Himself to be an appropriate unblemished offering as a death payment for our sins. He died, was buried, and arose from the grave in 3 days. In doing so, He paid for our sins, defeated death, hell, and the grave and now offers eternal life to anyone who will call on His name. It is a free gift. All one has to do is accept it.
