I'm looking for update on the Goodman GMVC95 fan speed problems. This is the problem of the continous fan speed being too low when this furnace is used with a conventional 24VAC stat.

Anybody got the facts on this problem and the solution (other than using a ComfortNet stat)?

I don't think you can go any higher without a comfort net stat.

There are some wiring tricks that can give you higher cont fan speed, and still the proper speed when stat calls for heat or cool.

Actually I was referring to the controller defect where the continuous fan runs at 1/2 the continuous speed shown in the specs, so continuous fan is running at 15% of max instead of 30% of max CFM.

Has goodman even acknowledged they have a problem? This is the way all the ones we have put in work.

Again with some changes to stat wiring (not shown in the book) you can get a lot of different cont fan airflows.

Some owners are reporting 300CFM, quite a bit lower than the 30% stated in the documenation. According to the docs, a 4-ton furnace should be at 480 and a 5-ton at 600.

Tricks? I'm sure you could connect G-stat to Y1-furn, or G-stat to Y2-furn, and get low or high cooling speed for continuous fan, but that seems like a kludge.

Nope. It's alot more complicated.

Also, no there's not an update. 300 CFM or comfortnet.
