Guys, bidding a job that requires some remodeling that ends up having us re-insulate some chilled water lines. What is the best type of insulation to use? Any specifics necessary when insulating lines? Some are in a lower level while others are above a ceiling (unconditioned).

Not big lines (3/4" and 1") and was going to use armaflex?

just completed a small chilled water job and the specs said 1 inch wall on 3inch and lareger lines and 1 1/2 inch wall on smaller than 3 inch lines they used fiberglass instead of armaflex although we have done several jobs where they have used 1/2inch wall armaflex don't forget to use handle extensions on yer ballvalves or wrap the valves or else they will sweat above the ceilings
