How u doin luis. I stay busy enough. I'm a small self employed contractor that does some new construction, Rehab work, Sub-contracting, & furnace & A/C replacement. Have been growing pretty well for the last few years. Are you employed now? If so for who? I'm looking to have someone i can train to be independent enough to become a lead installer with a helper eventually. I've noticed those are very hard to find nowadays.

I like it! Seems the perfect comprimise between a normal van (usually too small), and the bigger cube vans that can be tough to get around at some job sites.

thanks for posting the pics.

You know I just got a tax bill for my 10 acre deer camp up on the mountain. Those bastard got me up to 92 bucks a month for a deer camp. But at least I ain't got no condo MF's to put up with. I guess I am better off with the tax bastards.

Looks great, except for that Trane sticker. What kind of GPM do you get? I'm out of Barrington.

Eh, it's not a Trane sticker, it's my old front plate. What's wrong with Trane pal?
I get about 11-12 mpg. it's a G3500 so i need the load power with the V8. I get about the same mpg as my old E250 Ford extended van. I'm in Palatine neighbor.

We got the 12' model. Still coming up with set up ideas. Your pics gave us some more. We have that vise holder-forgot about it. Thinkin' it'll work well in there. You abandon the back door too eh?
Some said it would sway and ride like **** but so so far pretty good.

Nice setup 2h2c! Do you use a generator to run the pittsburgh machine and flourescent light, etc.? Or just run an extension cord like I do?

Break out the generator on new construction jobs...you know how some of those electricians can be

12' model is nice (can never have enough room!) It's a Bear to find a parkin spot in the big city of Chicago neighborhoods though.
Install the vise! You'll love it!
Better than shlukin around the tri-stand!
Mine rides really nice...like a caddy!

Nice Rig! A Fridgie would go nuts just trying to figure How to beef up the suspension to put all the 'dream stock' into it! LOL

You must hire a maid to clean that truck. Boy a brake would come in real handy on the job sometimes. Shop never seems to get it right and you lose to much time calling it in.

Priceless! :D
All kidding aside...this truck was a little over 22K out the door with my trade in. (99 E250 166,000 miles,w/bad tranny). I thought about picking up a full size cube truck, but I do a lot of work in the city resi area, and parking is a mutha to find as it is, let alone driving a full size cube. So far this rig has been great for my type of work. The bins on the side give me full access to all my fittings, never had this much organization, and i can stand up and do metal work inside, granted it's a little tight, but a lot better than workin out of a van.

How long did it take you to make the custom benchwork in that beast? (Or was that a dealer option?)

A friend of mine is a carpenter, so we built it together.

I'm convinced... it seems to be the best of both worlds. I'll look into the options with such a vehicle here in Canada. Although it will spell likely more like 31 K here. But oh well... the cost of doing business. My little astro van bottoms out on a gum wrapper, what with all the tools and stock I carry. :)
