I don’t know if this story went national. Yesterday a van with three Marines pulled up to a house in Miami. Their duty was to inform the parents of a Marine who was killed in Iraq. Their son was dead. The father freaked and torched the Marine van, and himself in the process. He is in serious condition.
I know war happens at times, it’s seems to be part of human nature. I would like to see a Constitutional Amendment. The Amendment forbids military deferments for the relatives, of any Elected official, or any of their appointees.
Before they send my sons to fight a war, they need to understand the sacrifice involved. Maybe we will have fewer wars.
