Has yours went up or down in the last four years?
And I'm not blaming this on the president...
I am simply curious if most people feel that there's has went up or down...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My cost of living has went way up.
My payrate has stagnated.
My quality of lifestyle has went way down.

COL the same.
Payrate way up...over 100%.
Lifestyle slightly up.
No difference in mine. My pay is a little higher, but my take-home is the same. Insurance went up too.

Kim,
If your take-home stayed the same and your insurance went up ... that has a negative impact on quality of lifestyle...

Cost of living? What it takes to exist and eat.
Quality of lifestyle? Extra, available income when done paying for cost of living expenses.
Pay rate? This one is obvious.

Insurance increase went up to match the pay increase.
Went on the same quality of vacations. Still have same quality of insurance. Still buy the same quality of liquor. Still buying a new vehicle every 4 years. Actually looking to buy a bigger house.
If I want my lifestyle to improve, I would turn down less of the marginal jobs. I can still decide which jobs to take on. That will change if my business insurance keeps rising. Bush will be better about limiting insurance liabilities than a lawyer that made his fortune getting overpriced settlements for people that spilled a little coffee on themselves and sued the biggest pockets nearby.
Kerry should have got Nader for a running mate not a weasel lawyer, but that is another thread.

NA DER - NA DER - NA DER - NA DER ... Just cheering, sorry.
If I thought that guy could win, I would vote for him...
Let's not jest, this guy is a true advocate for the American people. He would be a champion for all Americans if he got into that office.

This question is a double edged sword, you don't control the COL, but you do control your QOL.
Or you can control your COL and your QOL.
