View Full Version : Trane Unit Ventilators

Ive been working on a few Trane unit ventilators, which are located in schools.

One is in a science room along the wall and the other is in the ceiling in a computer room.

My problem with both of them is that they keep freezing. and locking out on there freeze stats.

check all the normal things like air flow, filters, rotation of fans.

suction pressure on both of them is down to 40

Does any have any ideas? please help

no leaks already checked and added gas to the system

Does this UV use cascade control scheme?
You do not want the speed of the motor to change, keep it on high speed. Most UV will slow the motor speed down the closer you get to set point and with DX cooling it will cause a freeze up.
If you can get into the programming of the board adjust DA temp low limit to 55 degrees.
