any thing you guys know about retro from 12 to 409a, besides the oil, I should know about for a walk in box,can use the same lpc and a 12 drier , right? any other little things I should expect? all info would be appriciated.My first retro so hope all goes well. thanks.

Try Hotshot instead. I believe it is 414B. Don't even have to mess with changing over from mineral to POE. Call a trusted wholesaler.
Make sure you put it in as a liquid,no gas.Oil and all controls should be ok.
Did a few changes with 409A.
Recover all R-12, pull vac.
See if there is a weigh in charge on the nameplate.

409a works fine with mineral oil for medium temp. It will have oil return problems at lower temps. 409a is probably not the best choice for low temp applications anyway

Hot Shot works alot better.
I would post this in the refrigeration and ice making section.
