square d soft starts

has anyone have any experience troubleshooting the altistart soft start motor starters from square d?seems if you put the disconncet off and on too fast the fault light comes on and its shot.did the obvious checks like control voltage and the thyristors but i am at a loss how to check the circuit boards

are you sure they are thyristers? last time i checked soft
start starters used silicone rectifying diodes on the
positive side of the sine wave to soft start the motor.
