Datacenter Heat Dissipation Standards

Does anybody know what is an industry standard on heat dissipation in colocation datacenters? Say, what is a usual allowance for heat dissiptaion in Watts or BTU per cabinet or per cage?

As a designer of air conditioning I would be asking you, the IT guy what the heat dissipation was.

I would not be surprised if it was 40 watts per square foot of floor space, in a room packed full of cabinets.
