View Full Version : SEASONS 4 EQUIPMENT
I am interested in hearing from readers who have experience with Seasons 4 rooftop equipment. I am especially interested in hearing about experiences with evaporative condenser units.
I would appreciate any comments regarding overall quality of the equipment as well as ease of service.

Their air-cooled HVAC equipment is good. I have experience on about 50 different installs, and have never had any major issues with them other than actual installation issues, like guys not checking to make certain that bolts and electrical connections didn't come loose in shipping, but that's with any equipment.
Only thing I can think of that I don't like is the condenser coils on the air cooled equipment are difficult to open up once plugged, and I know that they had some leak issues on the air cooled condensers for a period, but believe that has been addressed. A couple that I know leaked were replaced (at no cost, I believe) out of warranty.
Their refirgeration racks suck bad, but the HVAC stuff is decent quality.
Never worked on water cooled ones.

I spent a week at thier factory several years ago. They had a good setup /startup crew on thier custom package units at that time. Was impressed with attention to detail.Every unit was set up to run in the factory and all modes checked before they shipped.

better fill up your gas tank for the ride to conneticut, save the receipts.... I can build a better one with a sprinkler and a roll of 3/8ths tubing...... as long as it doesnt require me to use my extension LADDER!!!!!! nice to see ya chief!

I'll have whatever he is having.:D
We're just completing a school remodel where we installed 10 Seasons-4 units. Half the units were too large to be shipped as a single piece and came in sections. Fantastic job from the factory, all refrigeration piping lined up, all wiring was ready to just plug in or connect with factory supplied bugs, an actual pleasure to assemble, they even supplied the couplings for the piping and the condensate traps. The evaporative condensors work very well as long as you keep on top of the water treatment. Just like any cooling tower, don't treat the water and you're in for some very very nasty times.

interesting, and i like quick wit , that i'm not so good at...
but in practice of basics all around us ,
please note in Jonesboro Arkansas, using in 5 schools now starting on the TOMORROW, there is the very same equipment that was in contractors news, Aug 2003, Arkansas Simple,

I know tangential, Dave,
but just as I can cool a 25-T chiller or get 100% Geot 30-T chilling for process, as follows, we can see a dramatic change in the use of parking lot geot- here in the Cleveland area, as well as ponds, just like in many states schools now figuring simpler installs of geo-t...
instead of the roof-top scene.
Just a historical (hystarical) cooler I built::::
