I'm trying to get out of West Virginia. Hard to make ends meet having 3 kids, and a nag. Found a few jobs in NC, but looking for more options. I have been in hvac since eighth grade (family owned business, a callback meant I had to stay home on Saturday night ha-ha). I am a skilled tech. honest, reliable, Love to learn and teach others what I know (from boiling r22 to replacing motherboards in pcs) I honestly feel I would be an asset to your company. If you can post your email address I will send you my resume. Thanks for any help.
It's dave at the url of the website in the "little red house" below.

But not very good at following through. Said he was very interested but doesn't return phone calls, hit and miss with email. Don't think he's very interested in getting a job.
Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not impressed so far.

Stamas I'm very sorry I haven’t got back to you. Unfortunately I had a death in the family and I'm going to have to stay here to help out for a little while. Your job seems like it would end up being a great job. I hate that I'm not there now. I hope maybe when I can leave you will give me a try. You seem like a nice person and have alot to offer a tech. Thank you
Ps So many people here. I love this site. Great jobs great tips great help.

Hey Hvac Tech I don't know what part of the woods your from but i'm from parkersburg. Been in the buisness going on 4 years with like 3 years worth of time involved in a 2 year associates degree in HVAC. Going to be finishing it up within a year.
Anyhow I'm stuck installing.
Mostly commercial rtu's with an occasional res. change out or new construction.
But I am looking for a good service company in WV to go to work for. As far as service work goes I don't have as much expierience, tons of knowledge and theory just a limited mount of expierience (because where I am at now I am valued for my installation skills.) Shoot it has got me to 15 an hour, but everyone knows it, installing sucks when ya gotta do it full time. Seems like anymore my dreams are mapped out by blueprints. But i was just wondering if you could point me to a good service company to work for in the Mountain State.
Thx.

i would have to say i think homestead is going to be the best to work for (smaller co.) in charleston area the owner is also a teacher at a tech school. (was mine and very smart man) but very hard to get on there. there is good money in the tech field you will have to just look for it. there is better money in the commercial, industrial field. you might have a hard time getting a job with no experence, but if you shop around you will find someone who will be willing to give you a try. dont take shortcuts and do good work after some time you will be exposed to better jobs. also thanks for the job lead frame. today was my first day and i love it. very good co. if dennis does not work out i know for sure you can come back here. good luck

also the tech field is the backbone of hvac. I do love to install. the only reason i got better hours installing for dennis was he has a better install program then his service program. i was lucky to do 3 calls a day then he added a third tech. thats why i left i could not live off 1 call at 8am next one at 2pm. not get paid for the 5 hours. no hours at all but be at work all day. i have not worked for a co. like this ever. today i ran 6 calls. most other co. the tech works the better hours. whats better now is the co. i'm at now if i sell it i will put it in. -thats so cool- the way i think this works is the tech field brings money and jobs to the installers and the installers reflect on getting more jobs for the techs. the program has to be one (he works for buddy not hes a tech for buddy or installer for buddy) if you have two parts and both side headbutt each other and backstab and fight. it will not work. the co. will fail. not that you frame does that but before you two came this was a bad problem. once these problems get fixed with dennis's ideas. you might be at the largest residential co. in sw west virginia.

They came to Parkersburg a few years ago and tried, I don't think they succeeded up here, or at least I don't hear alot about them. Parkersburg is a hard town to work in unless you start here. Its an at least an hour from every other major town and alot of the population is so spread out here.
Has any one heard of the new company in the state, Simpson Heating & Cooling? They are suppose to be from VA. Set up shop in WVA to handle the trane sales through The Home Depot. I don't know how they are doing, one of our guys quit to go to work there. I haven't talked to him enough to get the jist of what they are doing.
