froze up

Hey R-12 t-stat was set at 45 high event and diff. at 5. everything inside this cooler seems to be okay except I noticed that the condensate pan seems to be holding a little bit of water I assumed this was normal. head pressure was 180 and suction was 40, ambient about 85. Sorry the one thing I forgot to tell you guys was this unit never seemed to cycle off, I think the only thing that kept the coil from freezing up sooner was the defrost timer. Today I noticed that when I removed T-STAT bulb from Its factory position and moved it closer to the coil the solenoid closed and unit pumped down for about 2 min. and unit would start up again (cycling). I know this is not normal any help would be greatly apprieciated. This unit is two years old, I recently took this store over from another company and customer tells me that she has had problems with unit from day one.

How about we do this ... you take what you just posted and go back to your original thread, from yesterday .. and go put it there!
That way, your gona get the best results in asking for advice.

Otherwise you'll only get a few old farts posting to your important thread.
